For a microbiologist student, the wine was never the first choice.
Rupali
Bhatnagar entered the wine industry by chance and she made most of it. She
started her wine journey with Sparkling Wine and the same reflects in her rise
from an Intern to Associate Vice-President & Head Winemaker, White Wines-Sula
Vineyards.
She believes
that one needs to possess a sensitive palate to excel in winemaking and she
practices this at every stage of her profession. This is evident especially
when she spends endless hours profiling grapes, personally interacting with the
grapes and finally crafting the wine matching their strengths.
She signoffs with no prerequisite educational qualifications required in making wine a choice of career. You need to be passionate and understand the process of winemaking from the time you choose a grape to ferment it as wine.
